Armed Forces Covenant

FAIRNESS AND RESPECT

Recognising Service. Removing disadvantage.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise that those who serve or have served, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect.

Its principles recognise that the Armed Forces community should face no disadvantage because of Service, and that special consideration can be appropriate, particularly for those who are injured or bereaved.

OUR SIGNED PLEDGE

A commitment on record.

We commit to uphold the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community. We recognise the contribution that Service personnel, both regular and reservist, veterans and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country.

PUTTING THE COMMITMENT INTO PRACTICE

Our commitments to the community.

Our pledge covers how we support people, communicate our commitment and engage with the wider Armed Forces community. These commitments guide the measures we develop as ITL grows.

01

Supporting Service commitments

We commit to supporting Reserve training and mobilisation, developing a Reserve Forces policy and providing additional unpaid leave for Reservists and Cadet volunteers.

04

Connecting people with support

We commit to signposting relevant support and developing relationships with organisations that support the Armed Forces community.

02

Recognising experience

We commit to engaging with CTP, supporting veteran mentoring and considering remote working where suitable for the role and the needs of the business.

05

Fair access to our services

We commit to fair access to our services for members of the Armed Forces community, recognising the importance of respectful and equitable treatment.

03

Making our support visible

We commit to promoting the Covenant internally and externally, raising staff awareness and identifying an Armed Forces lead within ITL.

06

Remembrance and recognition

We commit to supporting remembrance, relevant ceremonial activities and national campaigns that recognise the contribution of the Armed Forces community.

A PERSONAL CONNECTION

Grounded in Service experience.

Our connection to the Armed Forces is personal. Co-Founder & Director Simon Ball brings more than 20 years of experience in the Royal Air Force Police, spanning security, intelligence and risk management.

That experience informs ITL’s focus on people, professional judgement and responsible decision making. Our Covenant commitment reflects the importance we place on recognising Service contribution and supporting the Armed Forces community.
