FROM UNDERSTANDING TO A PRACTICAL APPROACH
01
Set the programme’s purpose and priorities
02
Connect people, information and decisions
03
Plan how the programme will operate
WHAT AN IRMP IS
A coordinated approach to risk from trusted access.
An Insider Risk Management Programme (IRMP) brings together the people, policies, reporting routes and decisions needed to manage insider risk. It helps protect sensitive data, intellectual property and operational capability from harm involving employees, contractors and others with legitimate access.
A wider security programme protects people, premises, information and systems against a broad range of threats. An IRMP provides a dedicated focus on how trusted access can create risk, whether through mistakes, deliberate misuse or someone being pressured or exploited. It works within and alongside your wider security arrangements.

The purpose is to connect security, HR, legal and other relevant teams around a shared approach: clear ownership, appropriate information sharing, consistent assessment and proportionate action. This helps concerns reach the right people sooner, before they lead to data loss, financial harm or disruption.
WHO IT IS FOR
Bring the functions responsible for insider risk together.
Programme owners and colleagues from security, HR, legal, risk, compliance and operations learn how their responsibilities connect. Workshops help teams understand the programme they need and how to make it work in practice.
What you will work through
01
Purpose and priorities
Connect insider risk to the people, information, assets and operations you need to protect. Identify the questions your programme must answer.
02
Ownership and decision routes
Work through sponsorship, responsibilities, escalation, information sharing and the relationship between relevant functions.
03
Putting the programme into practice
Explore reporting arrangements, policy alignment, review and improvement. Identify practical priorities and next steps.
WHAT THE LEARNING SUPPORTS
A programme people understand and can sustain.
A shared understanding of how your IRMP should operate.
Clearer responsibilities and coordination across functions.
Agreed priorities to inform programme development or improvement.
Clear responsibilities reduce delay and help prevent concerns from falling between teams, protecting information, management time and operational capability.
CHOOSE THE DEPTH YOU NEED
A focused workshop or a broader learning programme.
FOCUSED WORKSHOP
Work through a defined need.
A half day or full day session can focus on programme ownership, reporting arrangements or a particular area of coordination.
BROADER IRMP PROGRAMME
Develop the approach in more depth.
A wider programme is typically planned over two to five delivery days, together or spaced. A concluding tabletop exercise can help participants apply the learning.
We agree the duration, audience and outputs around your objectives. The shorter workshops included in IntaaS are shown separately in the package comparison.
FROM LEARNING TO IMPLEMENTATION
Build understanding,
then put it to work.
Workshops develop your team’s knowledge and shared approach. Consultancy provides focused support to design, review or improve the programme itself. A tabletop exercise helps test how those arrangements work when a concern develops.
